Default Control app for MacBookPro / MacOS ?

Hey all,
I see there is an app for iOS that works on newer iPads and iPhones...but, is there or why can't we 'remote control' Pro Tools from another Mac device such as a MacBookPro ?? I would rather not have spend $$$$ on new iPad to have a remote device when I own a $$$$$ MacBookPro that would work nicely if allowed by the app / an app. Doesn't sound like an unreasonable idea since the technology is there - just needs extended to MacOs platform (dev time, I'm sure). My base machine is a iMac 27" in the control room and sometimes I just need to record something in a sound booth myself and a remote device would be helpful.

In the interim I have enabled desktop sharing and that works fine. Just asking if I missed something that allows this to work on MacOs or if it should be added to the "new features request" list... aka 100 years from now.

Thanks all;

Nope. Haven't missed anything.
Remote Desktop is the way to do it. (which for remote recording, can actually be more useful since you can see everything)

At the end of the day, Eucon development is paid for by selling Eucon hardware (since Eucontrol software itself is free) and the tablet apps are part of that ecosystem. It'd be great if Apple allowed iOS apps to run directly on Macs (but once again, Apple has no incentive to do this since they use iOS apps to sell hardware.)

Why not use it (AVID Control) from your phone? That's what I do when I'm "on the road" and don't want to carry a tablet with me but want EC for soft keys etc.
(Granted, a smart phone is even more expensive than a 99$ Fire tablet but it's way cheaper than your Laptop and it's probably WAY easier to handle inside the recording booth than your laptop)

Run Windows 11 on it and you can then install the Amazon Avid Control App on it
