Thanks as the more cases, the quicker it gets fixed.

Hi Marianna,

Thanks for the reply; looks like someone else may have already got a case started.

For the longest time, I was rendering Whole File AAPs (with the clip handles fully extended) then swapping channels through the Field Recorder / Match Criteria. Using SoundFlow to automate the whole process worked perfectly.

Following all of the Melodyne ARA disasters, I was very hesitant and highly skeptical of the AAP ARA process. After playing with it and getting SoundFlow shortcuts involved), the new workflow has shaved hours off my day since I no longer have to wait for the renders and swaps. That said, I do miss the robustness and full-length, aligned handles the Whole File AAP provides.

Clearly visible in the two screenshots before and after the render. If I remove the crossfade the audio renders without shifting.

I can't explain this, but it's pretty scary!

ARA render bug

Pro Tools 2024.10.1
Hi everyone, I'm sharing a solution that worked for me. Instead of rendering with Melodyne, I used the consolidate clip option. I created the new clip using the process performed in Melodyne without offset.

What jedismusic says, Consolidate clip is a kind of workaround here.
For everyone who's wondering, this crossfade render bug will be addressed in the next Pro Tools release.

so glad to find this thread. huge huge ARA disaster. I have been talking with Celemony about this.

Like some i've found a slight workaround to be consolidating, then melodyne, so it's not working on a bunch of separate clips.

I am counting the days to the next PT update...if it's a ton longer I may go back to 2024.6 as I cannot edit vocals reliably in 2024.10.....
