2 Questions on this topic:

1. Do I understand right, that there is no more price difference between renew a active or a older perpetual PT ultimate license ?

2. when I buy this product at a reseller
"AVID Pro Tools Ultimate Update & Support Plan - Renewal"
(I saw it at www.musotec.de)
can I activate the code when ever I want. now or in 2 Month?

Hi Franklyn,

Yes, reinstatement has been discontinued. You can buy renewal for both active or expired plan. You may redeem the renewal code whenever you want as well.

It had been mentioned on another forum that one should keep Complete Plugin Bundle plug ins OUT of your mixes if you let your perpetual license expire since they would no longer be available. However, couldn't you buy the annual Complete Plugin Bundle for $49/year without having the buy the $199 Perpetual license? If so, it would seem to solve the problem of losing the plugins if your perpetual expires. I'll confess that I'm probably not getting this right - the pricing structure is somewhat less than clear to me. I have the PT Studio Perpetual and my costs is $216.37 per year which I think includes tax. I'm seriously considering skipping the every-year renewal if I can renew every 3-4 years at $199.

Yes you can subscribe to the ACPB annually or monthly.... https://www.avid.com/plugins/avid-co...-plugin-bundle

Or you can purchase the individual plugins you might want to use (dealers have them, not sure they have them all of them at their fingertips, and you might not want to pay that high cost), but many of us will own some of them already.

Maybe Avid can comment, but I don’t believe you can purchase the AIR Effects that are in Pro Tools. You can purchase AIR instruments such as Velvet, Mini Grand, etc….

I learned that pretty quick as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I remember seeing pro compressor came stock with PT12, and now it's not stock? (I really like it on snares)

I ditched all complete bundle effects from my work now.
