@avid, please put it back the way it was or give the option at least.

having the selected playlist on the top of the dropdown menu makes you have to look for similar takes in the list, instead of having them "around" them.

time consuming and very confusing.

I get by by selecting the one i need and then using shift+up/down to toggle thru neighbouring playlists....

please revert.

J

So, is this a bug or a change? Did AVID already answered us on this matter? It's a workflow killer...

Just adding my voice to this - this new behaviour is awful.

I just submitted this in Avid Link feature request, not sure if Avid is listening to this thread or not. It seems it would be very east for them to change this back to what is was in the next update...

I agree! I find this new playlist reordering behavior distracting and confusing. Please allow the option for previous ordering scheme. Thanks.

Hey everyone! Here is how this used to work vs. how it works now:

In versions of Pro Tools prior to 2024.10, selecting a Playlist with the Track Playlist Selector would ALWAYS preserve the Order of Playlists displayed. This made it possible to keep track of the playlists you had listened to when using this method, because the Playlist Order was ALWAYS the same in the Track Playlist Selector.

In Pro Tools 2024.10 and 2024.10.1, selecting a Playlist with the Track Playlist Selector, brings that Playlist to the Top of the list! The Playlist that was previously at the Top of the list moves to the Bottom of the list! This makes it impossible to keep track of which playlists you have listened to when using this method.

This behavior should definitely be reverted to the legacy behavior for the first release of 2025, as this change seems be greatly throwing users off who had relied on the legacy behavior for many years.

My Support renewal doesn't happen until this is fixed.

Agreed. Are we all missing some sort of genius thinking behind this? Some sort of new workflow that will improve our lives immeasurably? Because I can't see why *anyone* would have thought this was a good idea.

Hello AVID? Anyone? Marianna? What's going on here? Pro Tools 2024.10.1 is amazing. Just this playlist thing is driving us crazy. Can we please have a feedback? Thanks
