Default Problems turning on.

Don't know if anyone can help but the past 2 mornings my Command 8 has behaved very strangely. When I switch it on the display seems sort of blurred and not really readable, when it say don't touch the faders they don't move and they do nothing in ProTools. If I switch it off and leave it, it does the same, then if I try for a 3rd time it initialises correctly the faders move and it behave fine.

Also in the middle of a session yesterday there was occasional bursts of loud noise, this went when I re-routed my monitors straight to my 002R.

Any ideas anyone ?

Any suggestions ?
I'm guessing the noise could be the pot issue, can it cause noise when the pot is not being adjusted ?
Does anyone have the spec for a replacement ?
Could the initialising issue be the external power supply going ?
Or could it be that it's a temperature issue in the studio over night ?

Anyone ?

Have you tried to reload the firmware on the unit?

You can get the latest firmware from the Support section of our website.

Yes I had already tried reloading the latest firmware.
On further playing it would seem I have got rid of the noise, by uninstalling the IK plugins that came with ignition pack, even though they were latest versions. Also this morning the unit started ok for the first time, having accidently left the heating on all night, maybe it's temperature related ? Although it is hardly Arctic in there.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem, read my previous thread... http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=248452

Were you able to solve the problem?

Thanks!
