I have a file in a session that somehow went offline. In my attempt to bring it back, I get a window that says (verbatim), "[blah_blah.aiff] has the same characteristics as an offline file already in this session. If you would like to bring the offline file back online, choose SKIP and use Find Offline Media...from the File Menu"
A look in the File Menu shows no such item. Anyone know where this is? the Reference Guide isn't helping either...so far. Thanks! And yes, this is v7.3 LE. |

Bump...
Same issue trying to import an AAF. PT says there are missing files on import. Automatically Find and Relink creates a Neo Assertion. Tried Manually Find and Relink and when I pointed to the Media Files folder, PT says Synchronizing 'Folder' and then crashes with a Segmentation Fault in Main Thread. So, lastly I open the AAF and skip the files, so I have all these blank regions. Then I import the audio from the Media Files folder. PT is smart enough to recognize the "same characteristics as an offline file..." but there is no "Find Offline Media" from the File menu. Is this an Avid reference that we PT users clearly don't have? Thanks, Kenneth PT HD3 8.0.0, Dual 2.5 G5 4GB, OS X 10.5.8, Fibre channel drives |
