Default Colour Palette

Yeah hi AVID it's me again, Whingey McWhingeface.

Just a quick question, when are you going to get rid of that horrible "extra flap of skin" on the Colour Palette? Why does it have to be so big and needlessly take up so much real estate? Surely just a small "arrow" would be enough? It's playing havoc with my OCD, because it used to sit beautifully just above the edit page and now it's blocking off the markers and timeline, and all for some customisations I will never, ever touch. Thanks for reading.

Another +1.

I’d also like to see an option to dock the Colour Palette within the Toolbar. There’s plenty of room for it on modern hi-res displays.

As for Customisation, why not put it in Preferences or as a separate window you can open from the Options menu?

Doesn't bother me any. Then again I don't leave the color pallette open all the time either. No need to. Of all the things to complain about with PT this is small potatoes.

Yeah but it's a "small potato" that surely can be corrected with a couple of keystrokes, unlike the myriad of other long-term problems that seem to afflict PT.

FWIW The whole "Light" and "Dark" modes are small potatoes to me - I'd rather they fixed some of the problems with the engine rather than mucking about with cosmetics, but hey ho.

A 'couple of keystrokes' - there's no such thing in programming. You'd have to modify the .png graphic file for one. Like I said in the scheme of things it's no big deal to live with it.

We’ll just agree to disagree. I want my screen space optimised.

You're definitely OCD - I thought you were kidding about that. If this little bit upsets you then I don't know what to say.

Don’t say anything if you don’t understand what’s happening. You clearly don’t.

It’s nothing to do with OCD. Many of us leave the the Colour Palette open in the obvious place over the toolbar where there’s space for it. It now obscures the bar number and marker lanes of the Edit Window. It’s poor design which requires opening and closing the Colour Palette to see the bar numbers and markers. Previously it didn’t.
