Default valve mic\'s

Does anybody know of any good valve mic's for male vocals.I have been using a rode NT1 and have found it sometimes sounds a bit hollow.I have been considering getting an AKG solid tube or a rode NTK.Is anybody currently using either of these and how do they sound?
Thanks

The NTK's an excellent value for the price, and works well on many male vocalists. The AKG SolidTube is a pretty "dark" sounding mic, and would not normally be one of my first choices in that application.

I had an NT1 first as well so I think I know what you mean. The RODE NTK is wonderful to sing through.

I highly recommend it.

Good Luck

Steve, if you do get one please post back what you think. I'm interested in your response after you've tried it for yourself. I know three other people that have gotten one in the last six months and they love them.
