I set up three systems last night with 8.0.3 and DSP Cache was the FIRST thing I turned off after the new install.
I seem to have more problems with it then any other 'feature' in PT - and I refuse to get phone calls about loop-crashes and god knows what else when this 'feature' is turned on. I zapped pref's, repaired permissions, installed 8.0.3, repaired permissions again, launched 8.0.3, setup my pref's, quit PT, and backed up all my pref's with the pref tool. No DSP Cache here!

I've noticed DSP cache to be unhappy on smaller, HD1 systems. Anything HD2 and up we've not had problems.
For our radio production stuff, there is a stock set of plugins always used in the mixer. Open/Close times on sessions, once the cache is loaded, is extremely fast!!

Ok that's nice but on 5 HD3's here, it has been banished. It'll cause all kinds of problems. Note I don't know about 8.0.3 - I'll live with the extra 3 seconds between sessions
