Firewire drive and buffer size?
Hi, New to the forums and to ProTools, for that matter. I've been getting conflicting info about the importance of an 8 meg buffer on external firewire drives as opposed to the 2 meg buffer found on the LaCie D2 drives. Will the larger buffer matter? And, will the Firewire 800 make any difference over the Firewire 400? I need to make a purchase soon, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
