USB 4/Thunderbolt 3 cable arrived today. So far so good!

It seems HDMI sucks?

Working well here.

Why do I need to keep repeating this everywhere? Is my software install somehow superior and cabling so overpriced that I do not see the issue?

Just as confused.

Who knows. One thing is for sure, after trying four different HDMI cables connected to two different UW monitors without a cure, it is easy to see why I came to the conclusion

On the plus side, I have used HDMI without any issue for years. Maybe HDMI is just on its path to legacy and these cracks are the warning signs? It will almost certainly go the way of SCART sooner or later, that is certain.

Glad you got this resolved finally! Sorry for leading you down the path of another HDMI cable, but I can tell you I had the EXACT same issue. After noodling with cables for a good few months, I finally resolved it this way.

Regardless you are now flicker free!

Personally, HDMI is NOT a professional connector, and is the worst designed piece of **** since the rca jack.....

HDMI have so many different spec already, and cables differ accordingly. Biggest problem however is that the cable is not locking type. If it is even slightly loose, it fails or stutters.

Strangely enough, to repeat myself, When I switched from 2013 MP to fully loaded M1 mac mini and used same cables I had zero problems with my monitors. But I don't think how ultrawide you consider these (3440x1440 via HDMI and 2560x1440 via TB)
