Izotope Nectar AAX issue (Pro Tools 11)

Hi everyone,

I'd like to know if anyone do use Nectar with Pro Tools 11 because I recently bought both and cannot get them work together. I've found out (too late for me) that there could be an incompatibility issue; I'm glad to have spent 300$ for a non-working plugin...
At least,does anyone know any compatibility update release date ?

iZotope has yet to release the Pro Tools 11 compatible version of Nectar. Given that they've already released six of their plugins that can run in 11, and RX3 is announced to be dropping soon, I don't see that it will be that long before Nectar is also released for PT11. Perhaps a matter of weeks to a couple of months.

In the meantime, you can still install PT10 and use Nectar there.

Izotope finally answered me saying that they "were in discussion with Avid to consider the work to do on the plugin to make it compatible with Pro Tools 11..."
If I it's true that they're only at this stage, it might take months to get it released; I'm figuring out I'm going to have to be patient on this one...

What do you mean "You Couldn't" get PT10? If you have a legal version of PT11 yu also have an asset on your iLok for PT10. You can just download the installers for PT10 on Avids website along with AIR instruments. What have you tried in order to get PT?

I've purchased ProTools11 recently after having been working on ProToolsLe8 (what a jump!) and I've tried to find a link to get ProTools 10 while waiting for Nectar AAX 64Bits to be released and as I said before and didn't find it, here's why...

The link should be in your Avid account. "View My Product Details" you should see a Pro Tools 11 header. Click the downloads button and it should expand showing you PT11 and PT10 (in my case PT 10.3.7), which can be co-installed with PT11.

No Worries

Happy you found it. Remember that you need PT10.3.6/.7 as they are the only ones working alongside PT11. And don't forget to download the AIR Instrument collection for PT10 as there are synths and samplers etc in a separate download and it is called 10.3.3 I think. It is NOT the same installer as the Air Collection for PT11 and you need both of those, one for 10 and one for 11 as they are 32 and 64 bit.
