Norton 8.02 - be careful with big FW-drives

Everything worked fine on all my disks - some twenty SCSI-drives and two 80GB FW drives. But not with some new drives i bought.
Had a hard time finding this out: i used several LaCie 250 GB drives (at once or single - did not matter). Copying and unsing large amounts of data was no prob at all. Just erasing some hundred files at once (single file erasing did work fine) crashed all my macs. Found out now that Norton File Saver was the problem. After i made Norton inactive it works fine now!!! So be careful!

Its probably a good idea to be careful with Norton at all. Filesaver is attributed to a host of errors. -9073's, slow emptying of the trash, etc. I experienced kernel panics for the 2 days that I had it installed.

On top of that, Norton in general is not an OS X Install friendly app. It places files all over the OS X partition, many of which are invisible. Uninstall (at least in 7) left a lot of these files there.
