ADM file normalization
Hello everyone.
I am working in an atmos mix that is -18lkfs and I need to take it to the Netflix standard -27lkfs. What I am doing right now is open the ADM file in pro tools and inserting the Hornet Samp plugin on every channel to reduce gain, but my true peak reading is a little low. Can you share with me what is your preferred method to get the ADM file into norm? |

Re: ADM file normalization
A -18LKFS mx turned down to -27 is still going to be a -18 mix in terms of dynamics, e.g. compressed any not very dynamic. As mentioned it would be best to get back to the original session and remix properly at -27.
And as also mentioned, make sure to measure properly for Netflix using the -27 dial norm setting, this will yield different results than just measuring the whole mix at a standard -27LKFS.
