Opening new session crashes Protools

On my G5 2 Ghz. running Panther and 6.2.2 Protools keeps crashing when changing from one session to another. Everytime I have to restart Protools for a new project. A bug or what? Anyone out there with the same problems (and an answer)? Thanks!
