Venue/ProTools compatibility matrix
I currently running Venue 2.8.5 and ProTools 8.5 and looking at upgrade costs. Is there such a resource?
Thanks! |

Re: Venue/ProTools compatibility matrix
I assume you are talking about Pro Tools 8.5 HD (Native)?
For Audio + Venue link operation PTHD8.1 is the minimum supported version, so if tracking is all you need, the version you have seems to do pretty much as good as the most recent version does. One recent feature that might interest you is that Pro Tools 10 has an update to the disk cache so in 10 you don't need to specify the length of your recording anymore (allocate disk space), 10 will handle that for you. If you want to take advantage of the new 32 track driver for FWx cards you need to have PT10 (and V3 for VENUE). PT9 does work too for many users (for 32 IO) but is not officially supported or tested as Sheldon has stated in other threads. |
