I already had/ migrated these:

Fractal Designs Define R6 case

PT confirmed to be working (so "untested"?) and the power is massive, but HDX testing to commence. Fingers crossed...
Just finished my second mix on this. Today a 74 voice 96k pop mix with more Soothe2's and other heavier plugins than I ever have had on the MP/ Hybrid Mixer (native), and a heavy masterbuss (single core). A few cores are loaded hard but overall CPU usage is at 19% so very, very happy.

Now if Avid just fixed the Win UI implementation and revised the Win+Alt stealing...

Same here. I can track @ buffer 64 and pile-on the plugs; the CPU never breaks a sweat. Occasional CPU spiking is quickly resolved with the affinity switch.

Right! I had massive spiking on the first session I opened Slate in (old non sub), Pace service was taking 10%... So a google took me to Steinberg forums and to Slate's own guide to uninstall the unlisenced mods Slate had force-installed themselves (only one installer,). Pics in the support guide were for Mac...

But W11 or PT have not crashed once in several days of operation, and I can do silly multitasking too. (I just created the win recovery usb while mixing today :) )

Oh, and do remind me of the affinity switch please?

Here are a few links useful for setting Processor Affinity:

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...a.html#option4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e565VSxdVhY

https://bitsum.com/tools/cpu-affinity-calculator/

I have a Core i7 with Hyperthreading turned on, so Pro Tools sees 8 cores. I turn off the first 2 cores, using the command switch in the PT shortcut Icon. The command switch won't work if you open Pro Tools by double clicking on a session icon. Using Processor Affinity stopped popping and clicking I had.

As always, YMMV.

My Core i7 is 4th gen, from 2013. I have Processor Affinity start automatically as it helps. With an 11th gen i9, not sure I would bother either :)

Right, thank you!

So far I seem to have pretty massive power reserves with the 12th gen i9-12900K but I'll research these if I start having issues on a session that I always do eventually when I get more power, the "oh I can do this large now?" kind :)

Possibly unrelated, but I personally think (or at least have a hunch), that many CPU spiking / -9173 errors with seemingly lots of CPU headroom left are related to single core speed limits, which obviously is now much less of a factor for me than before...

Even more possibly unrelated - I actually started seeing a lot of those CPU spikes back when I upgraded my HD Accel 3 rig for HDX on my old Mac Pro (2x 2,6GHZ back then), using the TDM/HD/HDX mixers. So either HDX sucked compared to Accel, or it was due to going from the lovely 10.6.8. Mac OS to 10.9.x (IIRC). Avid obviously claimed the latter...
