The issue is most likely the mixing of FW400 and FW800 devices on the chain. Per the Avid Knowledge Base it states that you should never mix them. Here is the link: http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/self...561&NewLang=en

Hi there.
I just picked up a 003 and I coonected it to my wd my book external hard drive and then connected my hard drive to my macbook pro via firewire. Pro Tools fires up but I can't get any other audio running through my 003. But when I connect the 003 directly to macbook everything works. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? |
