Problem with Custom Plugin Parameter Layout - S3

hi everyone
in eucontrol settings i have "Open windows on workstation when knobs assigned from DAW click" set to Channel Mode Knobs.

this is great for when i want my s3 to "chase" me around the screen, always displaying what's active on the knobs.

the problem is that most Dynamic plugins don't read the custom plugin parameter layout when the plugin is selected using this method.

when selecting the plugin using other methods on the S3, the custom layout works perfectly.

any insight?

oh, this is true on the S1 too

this problem also persists with plugins categorized as EQ. you can't make the custom layout follow you when in Channel Knob Mode via the setting i described in the OP

for anyone looking for the solution.

click the "show eq/dyn plug-ins on surface as inserts if there's an Insert Custom Map"
