Default Video formats

What formats are supported in HD? How can i get mpeg and AVI to load in HD7.4? What if any vid editor should be used along side with PT.?

Typically any video format that can be opened with Quicktime will work in Pro Tools. With Avid hardware, such as the Mojo SDI or V|10, you can also use Avid video formats.

Well i have mpeg and AVI files i am opening in QT but PT wont open them. Any lists of supported formats?

What happens when you try to open them in Pro Tools?
