Default Am Impressed with the 11R

I know a lot of you are not feeling the love but as a new owner I can honestly say I'm very impressed with my new 11R. Love the Noise Gate too. I can see where a lot of the presets are useless and am going to start creating my own - I'm into Blues, Classic Rock, Folk Rock, etc. The 1st Preset - BIG BLUE was amazing sounding to me. Also love Jangly Stereo...

I can see a whole lotta fun on the horizon learning the 11R and Pro Tools too. I'm so glad ya'll talked me into this purchase as the Mbox Mini and PT Express would have never given me all this.

Well I hope you got a good deal on it because I'm sure you'll start seeing a lot of used ones going up for sale soon at very good prices! People typically don't enjoy sinking their money into a dead product, and a company that continues to string its customers along with promises of further product development that never appears!

Got it for $639 from B&H Photo. I'm lovin' it and Pro Tools 10.3.3 is a top notch app IMO.

Not unless a product becomes a 'classic' collectible retro item, in which case the opposite is true.

I'm not saying the 11R will ever necessarily become one, but enjoy it anyway. It's a great unit even if it is deemed "dead" by some. I'm still enjoying mine and I've been using it since it first came out.

For me, nothing has changed whether it be dead or alive.

Still happy with the way mine sounds. And given the current pricing its a great way to get into Pro Tools.

Protools 10 alone is $699, so you are lucky and got an 11R for FREE!!!
I have Protools since 2000 and really like it, specially when I bought a Command8: no more mousing when mixing.

Yeah it was too good to pass up - the avid forums convinced me not to get an mbox with PT Express - but to get the 11R deal with the full PT10.

And the 11R community is also the greatest!!!

I was not impressed at first listening to presets (see my other tread) but now I uploaded (with Eleven Hack) user rigs as starting point and tweaking them to my taste and I'm starting to have real fun. It's gonna take me weeks before I get my 30-something rigs setup but then it's gonna rock hard on every situations I have to deal with (headphone practice, recording, low level jams and full gigs)!!!
