Problem w/Midi Over Lan with BFD2 and 2 Macs
Hello,
I've got my aging Pro Tools HD4 system(running PT HD 8) on a Dual 2Ghz G5 Power PC and BFD2 installed on a Quad Core i7 2.3Ghz Mac Mini. i figured I would try the Midi Over Lan method on this set up. After following directions for connecting both Macs over LAN which seems to have worked/connected, I can't register any midi data via BFD2 running on the Mac Mini in Standalone mode(triggered by Roland TD-15KV V-Drums). I realize I'm doing something wrong or just forgot a step. I created a new midi track in a Pro Tools session and set the input and output to the network sessions name and midi channel 10. I get no midi response. I also have the optical digital outputs from the mini going into the optical i/o of my 192 I/O No problems there . Anyone know how to get this to work?? Thanks in advance!!!!!
