I thought I would also mention something I noticed about the DYN III compressor a while back, but never reported.

For some reason the DYN III compressor does not seem to work until the Ratio knob is turned. The Gain works, but there does not seem to be any actual compression until the Ratio knob is nudged.

I show the above behavior in the following video.

You will see that you can take the Threshold all the way down, and nothing happens until you nudge the Ratio knob.

It would be nice if some other people could test this out as well.

Ok, so I tried some other scenarios.

Now it seems that presets with the compressor do have the settings remembered, but there is a bug when changing the threshold, you have to first adjust Ratio.

It seems when you first select the DYN III all knobs will work fine, including the threshold. But after saving the Rig, then you get problems with the threshold knob not working or causing wild jumps and then the ratio causes the compressor to work properly again.

So this video shows that it seems that the DYN III acts normally when FIRST selected, and it seems to retain the settings/compression after changing rigs then coming back. But as soon as the Threshold knob is touched, it seems to lose compression, then compression returns after the Ratio knob is touched.

i hope they can fix this bug along with the XTC green bug and the other bugs that have been reported lately in a free firmware update within the next couple months.
