Default Cannot get Behringer BCF2000 working properly

Hi all, can anyone help...

I am trying to get a Behringer BCF2000 midi controller working on PTLE 8.0cs4. It has the latest firmware 1.10 and is correctly swictched to Baby Hui (button 5). Hui mode selected in PTLE and the latest windows drivers installed.

Although it transmits slider info to PTLE it is not recieving so changing the slider on the screen does nothing. Infact PTLE starts with the 'Protools is unable to communicate with HUI....'message.

Any ideas anyone; I'm losing it here!!

Thanks,

Alvin

Launch Pro Tools with Run As Admin.

Right click the PT Icon, choose Run As Admin.

unplug the MIDI cables.

Uninstall any drivers you installed. Restart the PC. After the PC comes on, turn on the BCF that is now connected with ONLY a USB cable. The driver will load automatically. After it loads. Go to the start menu, click Devices And Printers.

Make sure the BCF shows up there.

Then Restart the PC, Leave the BCF on. The BCF should be ON before starting up the PC, everytime.

Once back on, start Pro Tools by RIGHT CLICKING the PT Icon and choosing RUN AS ADMIN.
Run As Admin by Default

Once you open a session the Display of the BCF should say something like "Pn 8"

In Pro Tools, if it is still not working. Go to Setup, MIDI. Input Devices, and be sure the BCF is checked.

Also if you are just on PT8.0.4, you should really install cs2
I had the same problem, This info helped me a great deal, and worked for me. Also given by benoni.

Another thing that you may find usefull, If you right click on your pro tools shortcut, go to properties, and there should be a shortvut tab(I think), Click on advanced and there should be a bit of text and a box about running the program as an administrator, if you check this box it will always run pro tools as an administrator
