Default digi 002 does not take spdif at 44.1/48K - what\'s going on?

here's another strange one....

I have an API A2D which I'm sending spdif into a digi 002. Signal goes in and records fine at 88K. When I open a 44.1 session, I get no digital input. Inputs are setup to spdif L/R. API is the master, and set at 44.1. When I use the digi 002 mic inputs, I get signal into the tracks, so I've isolated it to the digital signal. The API is receiving a mic feed and outputing signal, so for some reason it's not getting through the digital connections...

WTF?

Geez....!

Hello

Sounds like you have both machines set up as wordclock master, you need to configure one of the two as slave if not when you change clock speed in one the other will not follow.

This could be the cause.

Actually I've got the spdif input set as the master. I've done all the steps for each sample rate, and 88.1 works fine.

I suspect a problem with the A2D....

Ok so spdif is being used to send the wordclock but which machine is generating it?
