Yep, that’s the whole point! To make it unpleasant enough to make you upgrade and not want t to put up with going back.

Got a question I can't seem to find an answer for. Say I want to buy an existing plugin like the Scheps Omni channel. I get that I have to use the offline installer to install it. But how do I get the license asset on my computer? If I fire up WC it natters at me that it's out of date and must be updated. Okay but correct me if I'm wrong but won't that put me into V10 territory? But I can't run V10 because it needs El Crapitan or higher and my system is staying at OSX 10.10.5. I can't seem to find concrete info on what OSX version an updated WC needs.

The outdated WC should still allow you to manage your Waves licenses. It's the online installation part that won't work. Hence the need for the offline installer.

You can get the v9 installer but you can't use Waves Central to install it.

I got a message prompting me to upgrade to v10 and all of my Waves plugins vanished. After waiting about an hour (literally) on hold Waves rolled me back.

I gave in and updated my plugs to V10. I didn't feel like dealing with two different versions. I also traded a couple of my bundles in for an upgrade to Horizon for 50$. I think the entire thing cost me 150.00.

Yeah, I just looked into doing that and it will cost me $225. Had I seen that I probably would have done it. I didn't know about checking the 'one computer at a time' box so it looked like it was $700+ at first.

Thanks!
