Suspend Trim automation

Hi everyone,
Suspend Trim automation is not working anymore. I used to be able to suspend trim automation from my D-Command, trim volume faders would bypass to zero, ideal to check volume edits. Suspend automation button blinks but the automation is not bypassed. Am I missing a preference setting? Suspend Trim automation stopped working when I made the jump from PT HD 8 to PT HD 10.

I'm working on PT HD 10.3.2, OSX 10.8.2
Trashed prefs, did a clean install, etc
