Are you using a Canopus Box to output Motion JPEG (is it type A or type B) I tried making a type B, it looked great, but won't go out the firewire port.

Canopus only outputs DV as far as I know. I'm using a FuseX pci card which will output anything.

Canopus most def only outputs DV. Bring any other codec QT into you session and firewire out will be greyed out in the drop-down menu.

Didn't all this change with PT 7.2. Now, doesn't anything also output through a canopus?

Is there any way to utilize a BlackMagic Deck Link card with Pro-tools?

not an onboard PT solution.

you'd have to use it with VVTR.

Thanks so much for your advice, I appreciate it. One more question....

Does the Fuse-X card support uncompressed QT in Pro-Tools?

if you have the right harddrive configuration and computer...you can get away with uncompressed 8-bit (perhaps 10).... but at a cost.

really, some of the barely compressed stuff looks great and you take less of a processing hit.
