PT 10.3.8/9 scans both the .dpm and .aaxplugin folders when launched for the first time. It will load plug-ins until it has used 3 GB of memory for this purpose. At that point, you should see a message stating that when you click OK, Pro Tools will quit. Upon relaunch, it will pickup plug-in scanning from where it left off.

It's FINALLY downloaded in Full. Anyone having issue with this update? Wondered it there is really a big reason to update to this version. Notes seem to be about gear peripherals attached from first glance.

those plugs you can't let go of is what is preventing you from having offline bounce so,

you have a personal problem

That's a bit unfair, wouldn't you say? His concerns are valid. The money he's spent on non-AAX plugins is real. For a lot of professionals, PT11 isn't ready for prime time (see the many threads about its ongoing crippling issues). In their quest to be 64-bit, Avid has created a mess, and I don't see how this guy has a "personal problem" for requiring the use of plugins which PT11 won't run. I have several which aren't yet AAX. I also use MIDI and multiple outs constantly, which isn't usable in PT11. I also use video, which was very buggy, and may still be for all I know. Somehow I don't feel like I have a personal problem by being kept from PT11 for these reasons.

But the offline bounce, as some said, is only for the 64 bit version of Pro Tools, not the 32 bits, like Pro Tools 10.3.9

That feature will not be implemented on the 32 bits versions, code limitations.

There are ways around getting non-AAX plugins to work in PT11 and I'll not go into that here. Granted Avid has created a bit of a problem but nothing that with very few exceptions can't be overcome.

And as far as MIDI and multiple audio outs I don't have a problem in PT11 because I print everything to audio before using any kind of plugins on the individual outputs. Just like I would if I were working with recorded audio - get everything recorded and THEN muck with it.

The video issue I can't speak to as while it's a part of some work I do, it's not a biggie. Not negating peoples's problems with video and PT it's just that I can't really participate in that part of the conversation.
