Default Apple Xserve RAID and protools

Anyone using the Xserve RAID with Protools? If so what RAID setting? Are you able to connect multiple workstations(with or without a fiber router) ? The price of the xserve raid is really good for what you get. Some of the competitors pricing is double the cost of apples stuff. Any info would be great. I am looking for a mass storage setup that can be shared by two workstations. Thanks :
