Hello all! I'm having a strange problem in pro tools 12 in which markers are not selecting... Meaning I'm going to click on a marker and it just doesn't select the marker. Anyone else know of this issue? Anyone know of any solutions?
Tried to ask Avid, but they told me to pay $100 for a support plan. Thank you. p |

Are you trying to move or delete the marker? Are you trying to start playback from that memory location?

Either trying to start playback from that memory selection, or selecting from one marker to another. Basically I click on the marker and the cursor does NOT move there like it should...

Here's how I use my markers after I create them. Go to the Window drop down. Choose Memory Locations and you'll get a window of your markers on your session. Choose between the markers in the window and hit your spacebar.

To John - it happens in all sessions. Old sessions i created in PT 10 or even in blank sessions with brand new markers. It's especially confusing cause it seems to be inconsistent. But most of the time, they won't select.
To Cutlerbri - that's definitely a workaround, but I'd still prefer to figure out away to do it all in the edit. Thanks! p |

Paulhammer, I'm still confused as to how you want to use markers. You are in the Edit Window, right? You have created markers for certain events within the session, like verse 1, verse 2, bridge, solo, etc. Correct?
You've named them, and for each one there is a yellow line that runs downward through all the tracks, right? So at that point, why do you want to "select" them? Do you want to click on the marker up in the ruler? If that's the case, why have a marker? The point of creating markers is to easily access them while editing or mixing. So you bring the Memory Locations box down into your session in order to quickly place the cursor exactly at the point of a marker. It's not a "work around". Unless I'm really not following how you want to use markers.
