no you can't put an rtas after a tdm plugin on an audio track it must be before any tdm plug.

Just got back from AES.....the answer is yes....Plugs-ins can be mixed and matched (RTAS and TDM)in any order on all tracks.

but the order in which you put them may require more voices. when audio enters/exits TDM land voices are used. so putting them in the right order will use less DSP.

What about moniring RTAS while tracking or do they still get bypassed when Input Monitored or Rec Enabled?

If the RTAS plug-in is before any TDM plug-ins they get bypassed.. if they're after any TDM plug-ins they don't -- you can fake them out by putting a Trim (TDM) plug-in in the first plug-in insert.
