Hello. Not sure where to go, but hoping another user has experienced this or knows how to fix.
I just got the 18i20 Gen 4 and setting it up with PT Intro. For channels 1-4, I'm getting an incoming signal that I can hear (ie. Mic) both in ProTools and via Focusrite control. However, when I plug mic into any channels from 5 - 8 on the back of the 18i20, I see an incoming signal into the 18i20, but there is no sound coming out (neither in PT or from the Mains 1-2 output set in Focusrite control). Anyone have any ideas for me to try? So frustrating and I've googled the heck out of it with no luck. ![]() thanks Tdub

Ahhh, I think you're right! I interpreted that differently. I understood I could only record 4 inputs simultaneously ... just assumed that meant I could pick any 4 inputs/channels I wanted to use at the same time!
But I just tested your theory (set my channels 5-8 to all say inputs 1-4 as well), and it allowed me to record 8 audio tracks. I thought it may be something to do with limitations of Intro, but then when I didn't see any signal coming OUT of the Focusrite Control software, I thought the problem was there. Seems so simple now ![]() Thanks for the quick response, Kev. Much appreciated! tdub
