Thank you. Guess I'll have to talk to Waves support then.

Check how many Waveshell’s are in plugins folder.
I removed all Shells then reinstalled my v13 waves.
Mercury and abby road
Went from-6shells to 3.
Speed back to normal

It's solved! Waves support is really fast and very helpful! Obviously it was an issue with WavesLocalServer. Deleting it and reinstalling it by installing an arbitrary plug-in again for Waves Central did the trick. Session loading is quick and the Preset menu opens instantly. I guess there are still issues with the new Preset Browser to iron out.

Thanks for the suggestions and help, happy New Year to everyone!

As you are moderator maybe you could moderate yourself please?

I know the history. Waves changed their mind or broke their word. I understand your position and grievance. I also think Waves did the right thing business wise in dropping TDM support. They saw the future and it panned out pretty well for them.

Maybe just start a thread about the matter and chime in there once in a while? Or otherwise just maybe the odd Waves post to add your woes? However, when it happens pretty much in every Waves thread it is sad and tiring to read.

I have my woes with Volvo. 20K on a brand new car that was worth 2K in little over three years. Do I go on the forums and bring it up at every turn? No, I'm done. I made my comprehensive posts and moved on.

If things with Waves are better today, I can eat the proverbial hat. I am just talking about my own experience, which is Waves was great when it had TDM plugins and iLok auth, but when it was AAX-native and their own licensing, systems that I used immediately went sluggish. Removing WavesHell always cured it.

But you are right, end of it here. I am glad some of you are happy with the company.

Glad to hear it’s solved and that Waves was quick with the support. They usually are.

Also, thanks for posting the solve so that others might find the solution.

Cheers!

I'm seeing issues too.

from pro tools launch screen taking forever to load while stuck on the wave shells for v13, to the loading of tracks, or making active any tracks that contain a waves plugin.

I reverted back to v11 to get a fast responsive PT system back.

I've come across this issue on another forum. It took me a while to find it, but maybe you can find something useful here.
