Time to replace my 002 - what to get???
Over the past year or so I have become increasingly busy to where my home studio is now having clients 3 to 5 days a week. And my 002 is getting older & has some LED readout issues. Looking to the future, what would be a good controller for a mid-level studio that can't afford API's or crazy expensive boards?

well:
how much I/O do you want? do you want mic pres included or not? sound like you want a mixer control interface as well? a list of interfaces that work with 9 & 10: http://www.pro-tools-expert.com/pro-...dware-checker/

Re: Time to replace my 002 - what to get???
artist mix? i got one when pro tools 9 hit as i moved to an rme raydat to take full advantage of the 32 io in PT9. while the 002 faders felt better to me, the added functionality of an artist mix makes the transition a bit more pleasant.

Re: Time to replace my 002 - what to get???
I was hoping to incorporate the I/O functionality with the mix function too. 24 channels is my target for faders - I know the cost for 36 or 48 is pretty steep.
I will look at Artist Mix but was curious about the ICON and C 24 too. Jim |
