Does "Save Session Copy In" set disk allocation?

Does "Save Session Copy In" set disk allocation to the drive you copied it to.

I don't think it does and am just shuiddering thinking I have to open 10 sessions and set the disk allocation NOW or I'll be finding files scattered on other drives.

I was curious too so I check with a test file that actually had no audio files folder in the session root folder yet.
What happened was a little scary.
I saved session to another drive named "Deliveries".
The new session appeared in the Deliveries drive as expected.
But when I created a tone file with AS, the file appeared in an new folder named "Deliveries" on the original drive.

Then I did a "Save Copy In..." another drive and this time I copied the file.
This time, when the new session opened, the dialog box "original disc allocation cannot be used....." opened up and disc allocation was set to the root folder of the new session on the same drive.

So if you copy the files, yes, but if you don't then no.

Yeah, I was meaning with Save Session Copy In " with the "copy audio files" options. so thats a little comforting that as long as I select it, i'll be prompted when i open it. i think to play it safe i am going to erase the original drive and rename it.

Disk Allocation is not reliable with Save Session Copy, nor with Importing Session Data.
You should really always check before you do anything of consequence.

FEATURE REQUEST: When I open a session that has Fade Files missing could I please check the Disk Allocation before selecting the (paraphrased) "Rebuild Fades without searching" option

Jim is right but Save Session Copy DOES change your disk allocation to the new drive but I also always check.
