Default Help Again. clock info

i hav a 002r hooked up optical to a behringer ultragain 8 digital. In pro tools in my peripherals section in Setups>hardware setup, should i see it listed under that? My hardware setup is

Peripherals:digi002 digital input: Rca=s/pdif, optical=adat
Clock:internal
Sample Rate: 44.1 khz

Is this how it should be to use both devices to record.

you could do it like this but then the behringer adat in must also be connected (to adat out 002) and the behringer must be clocked to the 002. (or you could maybe use a wordclock cable from 002 to behringer.

Other way to do it is only behringer adat out to 002 in and set clock of 002 to adat external

you're clock should be set to adat. not internal. then when you change the hkz on the behrenger ptle will follow. fyi if you want to use the SPDF input at the same time you will use the wordclock out of you're behr. into the spdf unit.

-vinark - Digidesign does not have word clock connections on any ProTools LE interface

-astrorock - you can do it with either Behringer OR 002 as clock master. If 002 is master, the behringer needs two optical cables, and the behringer will be slave (deriving its clock from the optical/ADAT link) This will also eliminate the possibility of a common error, which is a mismatch between session sample rate and the sample rate of an attached master clock.
