Re: 32 channels non Avid I/O, thing of the past?
Yes this limitation is staggeringly frustrating. I have to switch over to Reaper whenever I need to circumvent this limitation, then export stems and import into Pro Tools.

This is why I have to carry around 20 pounds of stuff to record 64 tracks via Dante. when I need more than 32 tracks in record I have to bring with me; 1 network switch 2 focusrite Rednet 5's Dante to digilink boxes 2 digilink cables 1 HDN 1 thunderbolt two cable 1 thunderbolt two to three adapter 1 MacBook Pro I can leave all this at home if Avid would increase the non avid i/o limit. hope this helps to clear up some of my frustrations. |
