Default Fragmented Hard drive

Hi Folks,
So I get the dreaded 9073 that my glyph X project drive is too fragmented or too slow. Well Reformated the drive, and I still get this message.
Any Helpfull hints would be great

OK
Now this is createing a panick I hade to call the session to an early end, Rescheduled for tommorow, at 2pm
I have reformated the drive a few times, on with the erease disc under special as OS extended, with the same error. Then with Disc Control, same error, then as os standard.
This drive is not too slow or fragmented It has worked fine for 2 years, and I have de fraged it a good few times, what gives?
