Does 2023.9 work with os 10.14.6 if i use the 2023.3 driver?

I've got no direct experience but several posts here on the DUC mention that the Sketch plugin will not load under 10.14.6, preventing PT from loading.

The Pro Tools System Requirements and Compatibility page states clearly that the minimum Mac OS that works is 11.7.10.

I got caught out as well and am now needing help getting back to the precious version. If anyone can tell me how to do that, I'd appreciate it.

it works. There is a simple work around. You will find it under ProTools 2023.9 is here ! Just under your post.

You can remove the Sketch plugin thereby allowing this version of Pro Tools to run.
To do that,

1. go to the Pro Tools application in your Application directory, right click on it, choose "Show Package Contents", then navigate to Contents > Plugins > System Plugin-Ins
   Delete "Pro Tools Sketch.aaxplugin"
   
2. Then, if you've attempted to run this version, you need to go to your Plug-In directory and delete the "Pro Tools Sketch.aaxplugin" located there.

The first step prevents Pro Tools from putting that plugin back every single time you open Pro Tools. The second step removes the plugin if it is already there.

Where do I find my Plug-in directory? ;-)

Edit: I did go ahead with removing the sketch plugin and although I had tried several times to load it before there was no problem now, so I did not need the second step.

Plugin directory is:
System drive > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-Ins

The sketch system plugin needs to be removed from it's stash in the app bundle that is all you need there should not be an copy of this in the normal plugins folder. That was me being dense when I wrote those instructions. I thought i had corrected that, is there a post out there still saying this?

And yes the symptom here is either HEAT.aaxplugin or the Pro Tools Sketch.aaxplugin appearing hung during loading in the splash screen. ... it's Sketch that is the problem regardless of what shows.
