Default Error Can't Access Hard Drive Fast Enough

Hello,
I have Profire 2626 with Pro Tools 8 M Powered. Trying to record live band with 8 inputs. During session the recording stops and I get an error message indicating Pro Tools can't access hard drive fast enough.
I have Windows Vista 32. 4 meg ram AMD Dual COre 4200. I also just installed a second hard drive. Western Digital SATA 360 G with < 10ms access. Can you help?

Did you install the 2nd drive after getting the errors?
Make sure protools is installed on your main drive (c:), and the second is used for session files...which include the audio files. You should also be using at least 7200 rpm drives...especially for the session files.

Yes, the program is on main drive. Session files on 2nd drive. The drive speed is 7200.

The second drive is NTFS. Not sure of the first.
BTW... It will usually record sucessfully for about 1 1/2 mins before stopping and giving the error.

I had a similar problem recording to 8 tracks at a time. I disabled Elastic audio on the tracks and it started working. If EA is currently enabled, give it a try. It might free up enough resources.
