"Deleting Unused Fades"
"Deleting Unused Fades"
I just started seeing this lately when closing a session, the progress bar takes a few seconds and then the session is closed. This is on HD2 with version 5.3.1 on a 1 GHZ dual processor. Anyone care to chime in on what this is all about?

Re: "Deleting Unused Fades"
I think its when you try a load of fades out to see which works best, PT writes them all to disk, and then when you save it deletes the ones you didn't use.

Re: "Deleting Unused Fades"
also, if you have more than 1 session in a folder sharing the Audio Files and Fade folders, such a 2 versions of the same spot or 2 reels of a film, when you close the session PT deletes any fades not used in that session.

Re: "Deleting Unused Fades"
It does this when you open a session, and it renders a bunch of new fades (if you tell it to skip all fades for example) then you close the session without saving...
