Default mackie hui

I have stumbled today on what I considered a gem, a mackie hui. Used it in the past and absolutely loved it. And today I found one on sale for under 500$

I was wondering, if PT 9 was still able to work with the HUI.

I know it's been discontinued but is it still worth it at that price?

I think the HUI hooks are still there

Depends on the condition of the HUI, ours were on there last legs when we go rid of them.
If it needs new faders and maybe the PSU rebuild you could be talking a grand in parts and labor.

The one I saw seems to be in perfect working condition beside a small scratch near the talk back mic hook-up.

Man I remember the days on this console hehe.

Has mackie updated the drives since it was discontinued?

HUI is still in 9, but Craig is right about parts. I spent a nice chunk on mine a few years ago, for faders and a new transport that seemed to go bad not long after I bought it.
Still a great unit all around I think if you can get a good one. It can do many many, things.
