Trk 3 & 4 deck insert problem with v4.1v8
I have a bug confirmed with Japan some time ago but would like to know if a fix is coming.
The symptom goes like this (Deck DVW 500A video deck) : 1. When only track 3 and or 4 are selected from Ext. DECK windows for recording, the record ready light (I think the deck labels it as Insert) does not light up. Leaving trk 3 & 4 selected, now I select either trk 1 or 2 for layback in addition to the selected trk 3 & 4, all those selected trks will indicate that they are record ready on the Beta, including track 3 & 4. 2. If only track 3 & 4 are selected and I try to layback audio to it, I get this message : >"TIMEOUT Occurred waiting for Deck to play. Try inc - OK" 3. The symptoms above did not happen at all when the same Beta and tape are used with AV v4.04b. Thank you for your reply... ncp |

Re: Trk 3 & 4 deck insert problem with v4.1v8
Yes, there was a problem that was found and fixed with a particular deck and arming tracks 3&4, I forget which deck off the top of my head. This fix will included in AudioVision version 4.1v9 that will hopefully be available in the next several weeks. It is currently being tested. Keep an eye out for it here on the Digidesign website. Thanks, Jon Connolly |
