Default sustain cuts out while recording midi

I have a digi001 with a fairly powerful pc that is very stable in all other respects. When I record a midi track, usually triggering a sampled piano, the sustain will cut out randomly. I've tried both reason pianos, and Akoustik piano, and I've tried PT 6.1 and 6.4. Any ideas as to why this might happen? thanks.

Default Re: sustain cuts out while recording midi

you might have more than one source selected for midi input...try making sure there aren't multiple input sources
