Nasty Transients
How do I get rid of transients? I have a session where there are nasty transients on the toms is there anyway to get rid of them maybe a brickwall limiter?

HI,
i´ll use Sony Transient Modulator for such things, which is essentially a specialized Compressor with VERY fast attack and release times. So since you only want to only affect the transients adjust your comp accordingly FAST. regs

A VERY effective way to control transients is gating.
You can use the the attack to control how much gets thru, dramatically.
