Renew my perpetual license (never expires)

Hello everyone
i want to renew my perpetual licence that is expired PT 12.5.2
I think i got that licence late 2015 but i never saw a reason to upgrade
now i am thinking i should do an upgrade and a clean install since my OS along with all apps have gone through several disk clones and upgrades and i want to know if i need to pay for 299$ to renew my licence so i can upgrade to PT 12.8.2 ?

Yes it is $299 to upgrade if your annual plan has lapsed. No other way to update so if you want 12.8 and up you need to buy into a plan again or pay a subscription but then when you stop payment you will revert back to what your version was with your perp license only 12.5 for example so I would go with the $299 so you can get all updates released during that year and then after a year renew if you wanna continue. Your license will stop at the latest PT version that is out when you let it lapse.
