Default Melodyne and Midi editor tab not selectable
Why is Melodyne and Midi Editor tab not available to be selected? I have pro tools studio 2022.9.0 and have license for Editor and Essential. Can someone school me on the versions and why the tab aren't selectable. Clip effects tab IS selectable...

Sure, glad to help you with that.
Melodyne needs to be instantiated and applied to a clip first.
The Melodyne tab will then become active.

As far as the MIDI editor tab, maybe that will also appear after having active MIDI or instrument tracks.

Yeah, Midi editor is now available thanks, duh on my part. Maybe Melodyne tab only works with Essential? Not sure, but as far as I know Essential is a better version? being that it's $399 and Essential is $99...

Be sure to have Melodyne instantiated on your Elastic Audio or ARA Plug-in selector on a track.

And yes, the Melodyne tab works with all versions of Melodyne(though there are still times I prefer to run Melodyne as a plugin instead of in ARA mode)

I experienced the 'saving ARA data' issue for the very first time today, though I've been using ARA right from when it was implemented. It started happening every few minutes when I selected a track-long clip for editing. It continued until I restarted the session and went back to my usual ARA workflow: selecting only short clips and rendering Ara when I'm done, then moving on to the next short clip. Consolidating clips prevents the Ara 'midi notes' from reappearing after rendering. Not extremely convenient, but clips can be revisited later if necessary, and I never get the dreaded ARA message halts while working.
