Understanding that #1 I do not use external midi instruments , only VI plugins
Ans so this may only apply to VI plugins and my system
Also that my memory may be suspect
Or I may be understanding what some are saying


First I should clarify I no longer use Midi Tracks, mentioned in several posts (and haven't since the implementation of Instrument tracks )

As I said I am not seeing anything that is a significant midi behavior or workflow change from previous versions, and definitely not seeing having to put an instrument track into "Record arm" to monitor the sound from either the VI plugins keyboard or my external midi keyboard .....Midi tracks yes have to record arm to hear sound (but hasn't that always been the case ?) -- But Instrument tracks no ,,,just select them to get sound

When I click on an Instrument tracks name, it automatically goes into Input monitor and I can hear the sound without having to record arm it . Which I think is functionally the same as previous PT versions isn't it ? Where you had to click on the track name to select it to be able to hear the sound ?

I get that you are a long time user but even if you weren't we would like to fix it. Do you recall is this ws the case # 04791468 as I would like to get a video of it so I can send it over to the team so they can see what might have been tweaked 2024.10 thats causing it.

I dont get why Nicki closed the case so I have asked his manager to touch base with him and find out and to reopen it. I also copied Tope so we are aware... looks to me like an issue.
