Default Sierra test drive

Hey all,

Procrastinating on writing lyrics, so I thought I'd try Sierra on another partition. So far everything is working, except I can't seem to get past the 'security preferences' issue with Slate trigger.

Any of my other third party plugins; I was able to go in and allow them to install. But for whatever reason the Slate one is giving me grief. Any tips? I have tried re-downloading the installer, tried going to system prefs and allowing it in the security area, tried putting the installer in the applications folder each give me the same error. Something to the effect of 'Not an authorized developer from the AppStore....'.

I know Sierra's not qualified so save your breath; I'm only doing this as a test to see how things are running. So far aside from this everything runs just as it does on my Yosemite rig; but I haven't done any tracking to truly test.

Brilliant that would likely work. What I ended up doing was booting on my Yosemite rig and installing it on the sierra partition from there.

So far everything runs just as stable on Yosemite with 12.6. But I don't really use VIs, but I have the exact same system usage on both rigs.

You should just be able to right click on the installer and open it that way.

System Preferences / Security / General / Allow Apps downloaded from anywhere .. reset to Mac app store and identified when finished ..

Um, that's the whole point of the OP's post, the option no longer exists in Sierra without a Terminal command line "adjustment"

Exactly! Now I'm having an issue with Pro|control and like a dummy I didn't back up my iPad. So I hope it's not broken on my working rig!

Tried the newest eucon and ptc so far the faders don't show up. Works on 10.10.5 w/pt 12.6. Seems to lag pt boot on sierra as well. Might delete it to continue to test pt's on sierra
